Pioneer Blu-ray Player for $145

Pioneer has just released a new Blu-ray player for under $150 in China

The retail price of the BDC-SO2BKZ player is being reduced to only $145 which is less than half the cost compared to the original $300 price tag when it was released a little over a year ago.

Some are speculating that the price drop is because of the 2008 Olympic Games being held in China. Although I think its because of poor sales. I only hope this price drop will also make it across seas to the US.
