Blu-ray trying to jump start the appeal of its next generation DVD format by introducing some new, more powerful Blu-ray players. These new players boast several new features such as internet connectivity, picture-in-picture and enhanced audio. The majority of these new players have BD Live.
BD Live gives consumers the ability to download additional content such as trailers and other bonus material related to a movie. It also enables online shopping and gaming.
