Paramount Pictures, MGM, and Lionsgate have joined together to distribute a premium television channel as well as a video-on-demand service. Its actually a pretty ingenious idea if you think about it, as they are cutting out the middle man.

The channel should launch by fall of 09 and contain exclusive access to certain programming. Its not clear as to Whether this new channel will be premium, basic, or premium cable channel.
