The new sleep-and-charge USB ports are able to charge USB devices while the notebook is turned off or in sleep mode. Typically to recharge a USB device you have to leave your computer on.
The new L350 satellite the Toshiba U400, M300, A300 and P300 series notebooks also now feature sleep-and-charge USB ports.
