Sony said it came to an agreement with interactive TV company Ensequence to license and re-sell its Blu-ray Java authoring technology.

The software, called "on-Q Create", is intended to help independent DVD authors create interactive HD features without having advanced knowledge of Java and its specifications.

The software allows authors to implement picture-in-picture functionality, audio commentaries, e-commerce functions and other bonus features.
