Netflix went on record to say the "DVD" has about five more years before it no longer reigns over the video playback market
Despite being confident that the DVD format will continue to grow in the next five years, Netflix said that it will have to shift its focus on the growing downloadable content market, which the company believes will eventually come to replace DVDs.

Here recently Netflix began offering a package of unlimited streaming and DVD rentals for one price; which is one of the reasons why Netflix does so well.

One simple fact still remains though, DVD are simple, cheap, and easy to come by.
