The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 6th October 2012 is in. Even the release of the Blu-ray exclusive Cinderella: Diamond Edition, the best selling new release of the week, was not enough to keep Blu-ray revenue and market share at the same record levels as last week, as sales of The Avengers on Blu-ray fell.
But Blu-ray revenue and market share were still well above average for the year. Prometheus and E.T. landing next week, so it could be another good week.
