The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 29th September 2012 is in. A record breaking week for Blu-ray as Marvel's The Avengers romped to the number one spot, and with more than 7 out of 10 copies of the movie being sold on Blu-ray (or combo editions), Blu-ray market share was at an all time high.
While revenue records were not broken, next week's Blu-ray exclusive release of Cinderella should help keep market share and revenue high, if not higher.
