The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 21st July 2012 is in. Three new releases, but none were huge successses, and in fact, all were outsold by the two older Chris Nolan Batman movies. The best selling of the new releases, The Three Stooges, only came third.
So with lacklustre new releases for another week, we have yet again a "all red" week in which both Blu-ray and DVD revenue declined compared to the same week last year. Things will pick up soon though, with The Hunger Games, The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man, Brave, Snow White and the Huntsman, Battleship, Prometheus, Indiana Jones, ET, Total Recall (2012), and The Dark Knight Rises, all coming on Blu-ray before the end of the year.
