The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 31st March 2012 is in. A relatively quiet week in terms of new releases, at least on Blu-ray, as the top selling Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked didn't really do that well on Blu-ray compared to recent releases.
It was also one of those weeks where, compared to the same week last year, everything fell. Blu-ray and DVD revenue both dropped compared to a year ago, and even Blu-ray market share dropped, thanks to the releases a year ago doing better on Blu-ray.
