Disc News: Star Wars Trilogy on DVD

It's old news now, but the original Star Wars trilogy will be released on DVD. September 21st is the US/Canada release date, and it should released around the world at shortly after, just like the other Star Wars releases.

The bad news is that the original theatrical cut will be unlikely to feature on the DVD. While I realise there are technical problems related with having the original cut, but for most people, it was the cut that made fans out of them.

Still, it should be a cracking DVD set, although I would be very much interested in a collector's gift set or something, that bundles some non-digital extras, such as a collector's book or senitypes or something (a DVD-Audio version of the soundtrack would be nice as well). Beggars can't be choosers ...
