Optional: Step 6: IfoEdit 16:9 Flag Processing

Okay, you're here because the aspect ratio of the DVD you've created is not correct because your original widescreen content was recorded in full-screen, so everything appears tall. For these types of content, a special flag inside the IFO file can be set so that your DVD player knows the content is anamorphic and automatically corrects the aspect ratio. Unfortunately, Nero Vision does not allow you to set this flag, and we are going to use IfoEdit to set this flag. First, locate where Nero Vision has created the DVD files using the "Write to Hard Disk Folder" option in the previous step.

Next, simply follow our Using IfoEdit: Setting the 16:9 Flag guide to correct set the flag. The guide talks about copying files from a DVD disc to your hard-drive - you can skip this step because your files are already on your hard-drive, but follow the rest of the guide and when you are finished, you can burn your DVD creation with Nero Burning ROM or ImgBurn to burn the DVD folders. A guide is available on how to burn a DVD using Nero Burning ROM.

Hi, your guide is Ok.But I have some problems with nero vision 5.x. I have a avi (DV) video at 853 x 480 resolutions (16:9) when I import to NV to make a dvd video, it resize to 720 x 480 and add black bars to the left and right side of my video!!!. Great Guide !!!! Help Me.... In Nero Vision 4 can chose only Menu Chapter whitout Main Menu, in this version (5) Select Menu Chapter and Main Menu aperace. What I can do, if have only Chapter. Tnks ! Jesus

!!!! help me please ... i have nero 8 with nero vision 5 but when i go to add video files from hard drive they don't go in it closes down ....what am i doing wrong.... when i had trial version of nero 8 it worked but with full version it not workin... have you any ideas for me ...?

i am adding mpg files and not vob. the problem is it does not merge all the mpg files as a single dvd. When i play any clip from the menu, it plays and when clip is finished it jumps to the menu again. How do i make it run continuously?

rahiltg: What you may need to do is to load in the first set of the MPG file, edit that and then add the additional MPG files in the set (the ones you want to continous play) to the timeline (basically using the Nero Vision video editor to "join" all your MPG files into one). See page 3 on how to access the video editor, and when in there, click on the first tab, use the "Browse for media" button to load in your video files and add to the "My Media FIles" list, and then drag the video files in sequences to the "Video Track' timeline. Another way to do this is to load in the MPG files as separate tracks like you are doing now. Then go to page 4 of this guide (menu creation), under the "Disc/Project" section, change the "End Action" to "Play next title" - this will play the next title in the list as opposed to returning to the menu after playing every track. If your DVD only has this one set of video files, then this works fine. But if you have multiple tracks where some should return to the menu after playback, then you will need to use the first method above.

hi! hope you can help me.. i have no problem going thru the whole process, i even tested the preview and works fine, my problem is whenever i playback the project, the chapter selection wont work, i can select a chapter, but when its about to play it stops the whole project, ive done to projects and got the same result...

Hello, I have no problems with any of the steps, most of my projects have been successfully burned, with the exception of two. In Nero vision 5, when I'm in the burning process, everything goes well, the menus are all trancoded, but in the middle of the burning vision closes without notice and returns to the StartSmart home. This has happened to me twice. It's really stressing trying to figure out what's wrong, I've looked all over the net and can't find anything. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, Nice Guide! I actually have the opposite problem from rahiltg. When I bring 2 .mov files into Vision, create buttons, and test the menu it plays the clips together. Meaning, when I press the first clip, it plays and when it finishes it goes right to the other clip and plays it too. I WANT them to play separately. I WANT it to go back to the menu after the clip plays. How can I make sure this happens? Thanks.
