If I need save subtitles in Czech - it is mean in EASTERN EUROPE CHARSET and 1250 codepage, it is really very unhappy remember it etc. May update SubRip to save last selected national format of subtitles to remember it for next time ? Thaks, VaR.

How come I cant find any programs that will rip the subtitles from the DVD? It´s all OCR picture scanning and it takes extremely lot of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

synergi: DVD subtitles are stored as pictures (it's called a subpicture stream), not as text. This is why OCR is needed.
