Section Zer0 Welcome to this, the 17th issue, of the DVD Digest LiveUpdate newsletter. Again, MPEG-4 seems to dominate the DVD scene at the moment, and as you can see below, there are an increasing number of DVD to MPEG-4 DivX guides, software and downloads becoming available these past 2 weeks. The other exciting news is the release of Cinemaster 2000. So far, we haven't seen it yet, but the download should be available soon (within the next few days), so keep an eye out for it. Well, on with the news ... ******************************************************* 1. More MPEG-4 Conversion Guides - by Nicky Page We have just added even more MPEG-4 conversion guides made by our good friend Nicky Page, a total of 4 so far !! These include : ** DVD to MPEG-4 using Mpeg2Avi Guide v1.2 ** VCD to MPEG-4 Guide v1.0 ** Subtitle Ripping Guide v1.0 ** Multimedia DivX/VCD/MiniDVD Guide v1.0 All guides include full instructions and diagrams, and as usual with all DVD Digest guides, all software are provided. Nicky's email address is on the guides, so if you enjoy them, please give him an email and show him your appreciation (please, no emails titled "I Love You" =) ******************************************************* 2. Cinemaster 2000 - coming soon ... Yep, it should be here by the time you read this, and it promises to be something special, although we are quite skeptical (remember Cinemaster 98's transition to Cinemaster 99??). The decoder version should be something like 2.0.38.xxxx, according to someone who posted a message in the forum, and should be available for download soon. As always, we'll be doing a full review of it, along with posting our nearly completed review of WinDVD 2000 v2.1 (I know, it's taken a while). ******************************************************* 3.
