It appears that Apple is toying around with "Try Before You Buy" apps in the Apple App Store by offering a "paid version" & a "Lite" version

It appears that Apple is toying around with "Try Before You Buy" apps in the Apple App Store by offering a "Paid" & a "Lite" version. 

 Not all apps will have this feature though.  Its purely up to the developer to make both versions. 

Apps like TomTom Navigation that cost $40 really need have a "Try Before You Buy" version.
