First Blu-ray 8X Combo Drive

The drive can read Blu-ray discs at up to 8x speeds, read CDs at as fast as 40x, and DVDs up to 16x, and can record onto blank CD and DVD media thanks to a second lens.
The software that is bundled with the drive isn't half bad either. It includes Cyberlink Powerproducer and Cyberlink TrueTheater software.
Cyberlink TrueTheater allows you to record HDTV broadcasts or camcorder movies onto DVDs and upscale a DVD resolution movie to full HD resolution.
The drive will ship in November but Samsung has not slapped a price on it yet.
