Sony went on record saying that the Sony PS3 will fully support full HD 3D and will even produce new screens that will further enhance the technology.

The PS3 will gain the 3D technology through a simple software update giving millions of PS3 owners mind boggling 3D playback.

This just may be the edge Sony has been looking for to catapult them to new sales.
