Hulu.com is in talks with major music labels to start a music video service

Hulu.com is in talks with major music labels to start a music video service to compete with its rival YouTube.

“We don’t go into details about which companies we’re talking to, but we’re exploring deals with a number of companies,”

Supposedly Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group Corp., EMI Group Ltd. and Sony Music Entertainment are negotiating to add music videos to Hulu.

YouTube is also launching a music service on Vevo.com with Universal Music Group and like Hulu, is in talks with the other major music studios.
