iPhone 3G Gets Hacked Already

The iPhone 3G was originally designed to work only on the Cingular network until hackers have recently unlocked it to work on any GSM carrier

While it did take the iPhone Dev Team a little bit longer than with the original iPhone, hackers have successfully unlocked the iPhone 3G to work on any GSM network.

The "unlocking" hack isn't officially released yet but, the iPhone Dev Team plans it on New Year's Eve.
