Nintendo Launches New DSi

Over the weekend Nintendo distributed 200,000 of its new DSi handheld gaming device in Japan and its already sold out

This is the first revamp to the DS line in two years.  The new DSi brings a slightly larger screen, an inbuilt camera, internal memory for downloadable games and apps, and full online connectivity.


The updated handheld is selling for around 18,900 Yen which is about $179 US dollars.  There has not been a date set for an overseas launch of the DSi but it is expected to happen before or around summer 2009.
