iPhone Gets 2.1 Software Update

As promised Apple released the 2.1 firmware upgrade for the iPhone today that resolves 3G connectivity problems, crashes, and some security issues.  The iPod Touch actually received the 2.1 update Wednesday.

The overall iPhone system is promised to run significantly faster with the 2.1 update.  The iPhone 2.1 software is available through iTunes 8 by clicking "Help" then "Check for Updates".
