The free firmware upgrade Sony is releasing for the PS3 brings interaction with each other, as well as other features.

The firmware contains the XMB feature that allows gamers to talk with their online friends via messaging, view profiles, and/or access the PlayStation network.

Users can also earn virtual trophies and showcase them on their profiles.
