Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 7 will be released sometime in the year 2010

Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 7 will be released sometime in the year 2010.  Ultimately the exact date will be decided by tons of testing to weed out all the bugs or as Microsoft likes to put it "meeting the quality bar".

The Windows 7 operating system will ship in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.  Microsoft is keeping pretty quiet about this new version though, as I think they learned a big lesson when ranting on and on about how Vista was a turn key in OS's, then see all that hype turn on them and them basically pull the plug on it.

Screen shots of the new OS have been popping up all over the place.  Although they are quite attractive, they do have a similarity to them.  Is Microsoft trying to copy Apple's desktop?
