No Firesale on HD-DVD

BestBuy, one of the largest media retailers, sent out a company memo to pack up the remaining HD-DVD inventory and send it back. But, some retail stores are going to try and sale off as much as they can before doing so.

Best Buy is also sending out $10 million in gift cards to customers who bought HD DVD players from the retailer, and also is offering a trade-in program at www.bestbuytradein.com.

Circuit City is also doing the same.
