The traditional time to use your DVR was between 8PM to 11PM, however after recent studies, it would appear those times are changing. The latest study has shown a 5% increase from 11 p.m. to midnight.
The trends show that viewers increasingly watched recorded programming later in the evening with DVR playback peaking from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Least recorded programming includes news, sports and movies while serial dramas "House", "Grey’s Anatomy" and "Heroes" are the most recorded.
The report made no mention whether DVR viewers fast-forward through the commercials – a growing concern among advertisers as DVR use increases.
