How Far is to Far

As soon as the iPhone was released, it was a race for hackers to exploit the high tech gadget inside and out. It didn't take long either, as a 17 year old kid spent 500 hours to unlock an iPhone so it can run on any carrier, not just AT&T.

Shortly after that hack, tech enthusiast figured out how to add and run unauthorized software. Apple was getting fed up and in my opinion committed suicide with their latest retaliation.

They released a "software update" that would basically erase all third party software installed on the iPhone or actually brick it, rendering it as useful as a brick when the update was installed.
