Britain's BT has signed a deal Hollywood's NBC Universal that'll 'allow' broadband users to download movies on the same day as their DVD release. They'll pay through the nose, of course ------- £17, to be exact, which is close to $31.50. “The deal is similar to deals Universal already has in place with DVD rental company Lovefilm and UK website Wippit,” says the BBC. Rentals will follow this autumn when BT launches BT Vision, its pay-for-view TV and film service. More...
