Step1

Use SmartRipperv2.41 to extract the VIDEO & AUDIO Streams you require (Rip Method (Movie Mode) - Stream Processing Tab).
Click the video file then select 'demux to extra file'. Do the same for the audio file(s).
Then click the 'Start' button to begin ripping.
This will produce two files (e.g video.m2v & video.ac3). (Approx 15 minuteS)

Step2

Use IFOEdit to Author a new DVD (The Option is on Tool menu).
Select the Input Video Stream (video.m2v) & Input Audio stream (video.ac3) and the destination output stream folder.
This will now take about 15 minutes to produce the new VOB files.
Navigate to destination directory and check all files have been created:
e.g.
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB
Delete any extra log files or 0 byte files from this directory.

Step3

Use IFOEdit to play/check the newly created DVD files. 
Use 'Get VTS Sectors' to fix any errors with VIDEO_TS.IFO & VIDEO_TS.IFO files. 
Save changes and overwrite existing IFOs.

Step4

Burn the DVD files to a DVD-R (4.7GB) using Nero 5.5 or above (Make sure to choose 'DVD-Video' via Wizard).
** If this does not work burn DVD-R as UDF (2.01).

Step5

Test newly created DVD-R in DVD Standalone Player. (This method works with my Pioneer DVD-626D Player)
