The wireless controller\/BD remote losing connection issue popped up again, first reported <a href=\"http:\/\/www.digital-digest.com\/blog\/DVDGuy\/2008\/09\/27\/my-ps3-just-broke-final-followup\/\">here<\/a>. Basically while using the PS3, the Bluetooth wireless functions cease to work &#8211; the controller doesn&#8217;t work, and the BD remote doesn&#8217;t work. The only thing to do is to plug the controller in using the USB cable, which works, or to restart to PS3 and all\u00a0Bluetooth\u00a0functions work again.<\/p>\n<p>I googled for an answer, and found that <a href=\"http:\/\/boardsus.playstation.com\/playstation\/board\/message?board.id=ps3&amp;message.id=2376861&amp;query.id=5798#M2376861\" target=\"_blank\">others have experienced this problem before<\/a>. I&#8217;ve had my BD remote since the day I got my PS3 (it came as a bundled deal), and it has never happened to me before in the 8 months I&#8217;ve had it. But this is a different console Sony have sent back to me. And I&#8217;ve gone over the usual troubleshooting tips: shut down all other Bluetooth devices, full system restore &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So another phone call to Sony tech support seems to be the only solution, and I suspect they&#8217;ll ask me to send in the refurbished PS3 again. Sigh.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update:<\/strong> I&#8217;m holding off calling Sony tech support until I can confirm the problem once more, just to be sure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bad news.
